ABOUT ME
I have experience working with adults but have a special interest in supporting the development and emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents. I have worked in primary and secondary schools, at a community centre and in private practice.I also have an interest in supporting those battling chronic illness and family adjustment, as I understand the challenges that living with chronic illness can present, seeking to assist both individuals and their families to better adapt and cope.
I have extensive experience in contributing to the community through charities and organisations such as the Smith Family and working with underprivileged and marginalised groups. I am trained as a General Psychologist, have a Masters in Professional Psychology and am a member of the Australian Psychological Association.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
I predominantly use a client-centered approach and my style as a psychologist is warm, engaging and empathetic. I ensure that my clients feel heard, understood and respected, being passionate about working with my clients to resolve their difficulties. I also have an interest in treating individuals holistically, encouraging the use of natural remedies and treatments such as complementary therapies and integrative medicine in conjunction with mental health. I am very flexible in my approach and cater the treatment according to each individual’s needs.TREATMENT FOCUS:
