ABOUT ME
I have experience working with adolescents and adults in the private sector (regional and metropolitan), with a Master of Professional Psychology from La Trobe University.I have formal training in Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills training. My primary focus and interest is in supporting those with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, anger management, ADHD, OCD and personality disorders.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer specialisation in couples counselling. With training in schema-based couples counselling, my approach is all about exploring emotional and physical needs in a relationship, whilst providing tools to communicate these needs to each other in a safe and meaningful way. Through understanding emotional needs, we are able to bypass conflict and reach a healthy level of understanding, care and compassion toward one another.
HOW WILL I HELP YOU
I aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment, where you can feel empowered to create and meet your own therapeutic goals, at your own pace. Above all else, I want you to feel listened to, accepted and understood. My approach is very focused on personal values, emotional needs and helping you to achieve the goals and relationships that you want in your life.
